What sensors does Aido have? How can they be used?

Aido comes with a powerful set of sensors. These let you quantify parameters around your home and instruct Aido to take corrective action, if required. Aido has sensors for:

  • Air Quality
  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Noise
  • Ambient Light
  • Pressure
  • Gravity (4-axis G-sensor)

Aido’s air quality sensor measures real indoor pollution rather than just CO2 levels. The temperature sensor lets you measure and track temperature for each room or area in the house. Aido’s light sensor tracks ambient light and duration. The sensor data can be used in the Task Automator to trigger functions (Eg: turn heater on when temperature dips below a certain threshold).

Aido’s sensors also serve well in its patrol mode. You can set Aido to patrol your home when you aren’t around. Aido can take regular readings of the vital statistics of your home. It can also look for signs of unusual activity and send you a notification if there’s an intruder or if there’s fire/smoke.
